Let Me Get This Right...
Isn't that the same climate change crisis that has been completely, unequivocally, undeniably out to lunch on every single solitary prediction, model and/or forecast of doom and gloom since Al the oracle Gore spake the divine climate prophecy - assisted by one hell of a power point presentation?
Is this the same climate calamity that was so completely unscientific that "scientists" had to lie and obstruct, alter and destroy data to silence dissent?
Yeah, I thought so.

You First.
In one concise article Mr. Singer says what a good deal of environmentalists are afraid to. Which is to say that he says what they wilfully evade, that the end result, the final solution of their Green fascism is the end of humanity.
Well I for one would like to invite them all, each and every one to do away with themselves, in whatever ecologically sound manner they wish of course.
So Mr. Singer, Mr. Benatar... This is your philosophy, and since all philosophies are constructed to show man how he ought to live, I hope you will have the intestinal fortitude and courage to live by yours.
Oh, don't get me wrong I'm not asking you to do something I wouldn't. I do my very best to live my life by my philosophy (Objectivism), its just that were we both to do so, you would see that your philosophy leads you to your death and mine encourages me to live.
So lets both start...
You will go first.

Evading Reality With British Climatologists
Eh?
Professor Jones admitted to the House of Commons Science and Technology Committee yesterday that he had “written some very awful e-mails”, including one in which he rejected a request for information on the ground that the person receiving it might criticise his work.
What, pray tell, could be considered more of a perversion of the peer review process?

Your Money is In It…
The reason why government is so hot and horny to “develop” the green economy, to “build” green jobs and “aid” green business is because there is no way to make a living off of these things.
If there were capitalists of all stripes, of any and all political, environmental and social inclinations would be tripping all over themselves for a piece of this "new market".
Think about it…
In a world where capitalists have us convinced to spend our hard earned dollars on bottled water when the stuff flows out of our taps almost for free, do you not think they would be making money hand over fist off the environmental craze if they could?
Just like Chrysler, your money is going to be put there by force, because no one wants their money to be there by choice.

Enviro-pocalypse - 39 Years Later... Still Wrong
• “...civilization will end within 15 or 30 years unless immediate action is taken against problems facing mankind,” biologist George Wald, Harvard University, April 19, 1970.
• By 1995, “...somewhere between 75 and 85 percent of all the species of living animals will be extinct.” Sen. Gaylord Nelson, quoting Dr. S. Dillon Ripley, Look magazine, April 1970.
• Because of increased dust, cloud cover and water vapor “...the planet will cool, the water vapor will fall and freeze, and a new Ice Age will be born,” Newsweek magazine, January 26, 1970.
• The world will be “...eleven degrees colder in the year 2000. This is about twice what it would take to put us into an ice age,” Kenneth Watt, speaking at Swarthmore University, April 19, 1970.
• “We are in an environmental crisis which threatens the survival of this nation, and of the world as a suitable place of human habitation,” biologist Barry Commoner, University of Washington, writing in the journal Environment, April 1970.
• “Man must stop pollution and conserve his resources, not merely to enhance existence but to save the race from the intolerable deteriorations and possible extinction,” The New York Times editorial, April 20, 1970.
• “By 1985, air pollution will have reduced the amount of sunlight reaching earth by one half...” Life magazine, January 1970.
• “Population will inevitably and completely outstrip whatever small increases in food supplies we make,” Paul Ehrlich, interview in Mademoiselle magazine, April 1970.
• “...air pollution...is certainly going to take hundreds of thousands of lives in the next few years alone,” Paul Ehrlich, interview in Mademoiselle magazine, April 1970.
• Ehrlich also predicted that in 1973, 200,000 Americans would die from air pollution, and that by 1980 the life expectancy of Americans would be 42 years.
• “It is already too late to avoid mass starvation,” Earth Day organizer Denis Hayes, The Living Wilderness, Spring 1970.
• “By the year 2000...the entire world, with the exception of Western Europe, North America and Australia, will be in famine,” Peter Gunter, North Texas State University, The Living Wilderness, Spring 1970.Source...

Tax And Gouge Liberal
This is a cash grab of unprecedented proportions from the guy that said he wouldn't increase taxes!
Then McTaxation decides he wants to go ahead with a Cap and Trade system for Carbon emissions. The speculation that increased costs for industry "could be passed on to taxpayers" is laughable. What on earth is speculative about it!!! Do the mental midgets in Queens Park believe for one second that a businessman is not going to pass this increased costs onto the consumer?!?!?
"A cap-and-trade system places a ceiling on greenhouse gases and lets participants buy and sell emissions permits within that cap. Those who don't meet the emissions targets can buy credits from others with a surplus instead of lowering their emissions."This is nothing more than a wealth distribution scheme. Which is to say distributing your wealth into the government's coffers. I am willing to bet that every single one of these transactions will be subject to the new HST... How much money will this net the Tax-drunk Liberal Government of Ontario.
I'm going to don my soothsayer hat for a moment...
When... WHEN (not if) Ontario business' pass this new carbon/production penalty onto consumers I expect the McTaxation Government to lambaste them for "taking advantage of the consumer" or/and for "forcing the innocent consumer to pay for their waste and polution"... Crank up the spin machine... It's going to be a doozy!
Now for an examination of the Win, WIN, WIN, WIN situation these new taxes represent.
- Company A (a logging firm) is assessed as being in violation of its Carbon cap. So that business buys Carbon credits from CompanyB (some "carbon nutral" business)... Cha-Ching! McTaxation gathers his carbon cap loot... Win
- Company A having been forced to pay for Carbon raises the price of his lumber which he sells to Comapny C (the building supply company)... Cha-Ching! McTaxation gathers HST loot... WIN
- Company C having been forced to pay more for the lumber passes that cost on to Company D (the home builder)... Cha-Ching! McTaxation continues his taxation-extraviganza gathering in more HST... WIN *note that this would happen with almost every product that goes into a house or other product.
- Company D having been forced to pay more for the materials used to build the house passes that increased cost onto the consumer... CHA-CHING!!! McTaxation gathers the biggest payoff yet because not only does he get more taxes because the house costs more but this is actually a brand new taxation stream for his Tax-adicted government... New construction used to be PST exempt!!! WIN
McGinty is about to castrate this province's economy worse than Bob Rae's NDP did.

The Command Ecology...
Well now we have the Command Ecology... the same premise applied to our environment, a system a billion times more complex than a market economy. So what does the CCCP (Church of Climate Change Predictions) have to say about this?
If there is anything that frightens me it is the idea that these people want to start screwing with our planet to offset the "effects" of human habitation on our environment when they obviously have no idea how it works.

Power To The People #3
Obviously they are only doing what is best for the planet, as a result, we're a heartbeat away from...
"Put your baggage on zee left, and move to zee showers on your right! You vill be reunited mit your loved ones soon enough!"
I wish I meant that to be more humorous.
"Porritt’s call will come at this week’s annual conference of the Optimum Population Trust (OPT), of which he is patron.
The trust will release research suggesting UK population must be cut to 30m if the country wants to feed itself sustainably."
And...
"George Monbiot, a prominent writer on green issues, has criticised population campaigners, arguing that “relentless” economic growth is a greater threat."
Get it now? It's not about pollution, it's not about overpopulation and sustainability and it's not about economic activity It's a concerted effort to destroy ALL of mans means of supporting and living his life as something other than a primitive savage.

Power To The People
Earth Hour is an anti-man stunt that is trying to stifle man in favor of the unconscious, unthinking planet we live on, and it is counterproductive.
How is environmentalism "anti-man"? You ask...
Ask any environmentalist where they stand on using nuclear power. The cheapest, cleanest source of energy man has yet devised. They will willfully ignore the truth about nuclear power, they will condemn it because the radioactive byproducts are harmful to the environment. Never mind that there are ways to dispose of that waste safely. Never mind that the green technologies haven't a hope in hell of replacing the amount of power we humans currently need much less what we will need in the future. Never mind that the billions of batteries that their so called green technologies so often rely on will require an environmental dump site that would dwarf Chernobyl.
That is anti-man.
Yes there are all kinds of environmentalists. Some environmentalists are right over the edge into terrorist territory like ELF, some are like like Al Gore, who is at most an annoying windbag with a pretentious power point presentation, but I put the lunatic fringe right right alongside with the Goreacle. I'll add in the ones that protest seal hunting too.
Speaking of seal hunting... More anti-man environmental BS. Talk about a sustainable industry, the seal hunt has been going on for over 400 years. It is no coincidence that when the seal hunt was stopped the cod stocks on the east coast were decimated, but that doesn't matter either, its better for the natural environment... Screw man he's evil... or didn't you get the rice paper non-toxix biodegradeable memo? All those people on the east coast of Canada and the US that lost their livelihoods can thank the non-lunatic enviro's and complicit hand wringing governments for aiding in the destruction of an entire industry. I'll say it again, the enviro creedo.
Screw man.
Some might say that when my lights all go on that its merely stupid, that its not a statement, that I'm not proving anything... no one will know... but, of course I disagree.
If just one person asks me why I will have the opportunity to shed some light on the other side of the story. And when they throw up the environmentalists straw man when the conversation is done and they have at least heard the other side of the argument, then that will be a statement worth making.
"But we're going to destroy the planet," they scream, "we're going to run out of resources..." I don't accept that point either.
The only way we as a species will ever reach the limit of human life that this planet is able to sustain is if we stop producing, stop thinking, stop using, developing and creating. That is really what the environmentalists want us to do when they ask us to stop using power, and that is the worst anti-man activity of all.
Power is what has enabled us to populate every corner of this globe. Power has made it possible for there to be 6 billion of us (and counting). And the production of cheaper and better power (made possible by the R&D departments of the corporations and companies that rely on the profits of power for their living) is what will win the environment a reprieve, not sitting in the dark staring at each other like 21st century cavemen.
So, Light it up on March 28th... Produce, use, develop, and never stop.
Power to the people!
Power FOR the People!

Dion: "Next Election About the Environment"
Stick with what you know?
Except that the closest DeYawn ever got to doing anything about the environemnt was naming a pet.
And then there's this...
"At the next election, it's unavoidable that the environment, climate
change, the green revolution we need to make, will be at the core of the
campaign,"
Hmmm, wouldn't this lead to the Libs going head to head with the Greens? A veritable battle of Titans! I can see it now, a political cage match between Dion and May. Like watching Pee Wee Herman mud wrestle Rosie O'Donnell for a bag of low fat, soy infused organic rice cakes.

Signs of the Collectivist Apocalypse (SOTCA)
It is obvious to anyone who reads Atlas Shrugged, that throughout it, the policies and programs undertaken by the ubiquitous Thompson government and the so called Like the canary in the mineshaft I seek to warn you all that we may be looking at the same fate somewhere down the road.
So just to keep tabs on the situation I introduce a recurring theme to Uncommon Sense, a chirp here and there which I will call…
Signs of the Collectivist Apocalypse (SOTCA)
My first entry is about the US Treasury and a sweeping power grab by its new Head
The regulatory blueprint proposes eventually vesting new powers in the Federal Reserve as a "market stability regulator" -- effectively formalizing a role the central bank already has adopted recently by expanding the list of financial firms which can borrow directly.
It would give the Fed authority to demand that all financial system participants supply it with full information on their activities and grant the Fed a right to collaborate with other regulators in setting rules for their behavior.
Woosh!!! Super Finance Cop to the rescue!
Hold on a sec... Weren't these the same guys that were at least partially responsible for the sub-prime fiasco? Foxes in Hen houses anyone?
The great Cash and Cars Giveaway
WINDSOR, Ont. - Ford of Canada will use a $17-million investment from the Ontario government as part of a $168-million plan to reopen the Essex engine plant in southwestern Ontario, but the company warned Monday it will not expand the project further without direct participation from the federal government.
Excellent Dalton McSquirmy throwing good money after bad, just to be threatened by the Ford company that it will all be for naught if they don't get more!!!
It's almost like he wants to be the Premier of a have not province...
